Red Sky Ranch is located in Placerville, in the heart of the California Gold Country. We are aproximately 3 miles from the spot where gold was found on the American River at Sutter's Mill in Coloma. The ranch sits atop Arrowbee Ridge and smiles at the Red Sky at sundown every day.

Horse - Grooming, Feeding, Petting, Arena Riding, corral maintenance

Sheep - watching, spooking, molting (Barbados), feeding, herding

Wine - Fantastic local wine country - Amador and El Dorado wine makers put out some superb vintage. Matched with the local beauty of the Sierra Foothills and you have delightful weekend excursion potential year round. Here at the ranch we offer wine tasting, drinking, with food, without food, mixing & matching, and of course guided tours of the wine country.

Skiing - 20 mins to snowline, 45 mins to Sierra At Tahoe, a little over an hour to South Shore Tahoe and Heavenly Ski Resort

American River - Swimming, rafting, camping, gold panning, and day use parks all are within 5 mins of the Ranch.

Lake Arrowbee - Private Lake for Ranch visitors. Swimming, boating and fishing (catch and release).

Gold Country - tour historic Placerville, Diamond Springs, El Dorado, Coloma and a host of other historic towns along route 49.  

Trampoline - here at the ranch we've installed a delux-o 16' diameter, protection-netted-exterior trampoline. Excelent for jiggling a few pounds loose on the older folks, and the younger folks - well, sky's the limit.

Hot Tub - recommended after wine tasting and trampoline workout

Oaks - climbing, swinging, planting, bird spotting

Stars - gazing, charting, viewing

Lavender - Yes, we're going to revive the lavender gardens. Look for 1st plantings fall 2005.

Snoozing - big new soft sofa downstairs in the rec. room, with recliners and built in snooze button
